Description
The FrSky ADV VARI Variometer Sensor is part of FrSky's enhanced ADVANCE (ADV) series of telemetry sensors, designed to provide determines altitude by measuring changes in atmospheric pressure. As atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing altitude, the sensor can calculate altitude accurate altitude and variometer data for RC aircraft.
The VARI ADV determines altitude by measuring changes in atmospheric pressure. As atmospheric pressure decreases with increasing altitude, the sensor can calculate altitude across an impressive range of -1,800 to 10,000 metres, with a resolution/accuracy tolerance of 0.1 metres.
The sensor fully supports the FBUS protocol and is also compatible with S.Port, allowing it to be seamlessly connected to compatible FrSky receivers. FBUS compatibility helps simplify model builds by reducing the complexity of sensor connections.
Please note that because the sensor calculates altitude from atmospheric pressure, changes in weather and atmospheric pressure can affect the accuracy of the absolute altitude measurement.
