From a small workshop founded in 1993 by a British F3A competition pilot to the UK’s largest RC aerobatic company, ProBuild Aircraft Ltd has built its reputation on expertise, dedication and world-class partnerships.

This timeline highlights the milestones, collaborations, and innovations that have shaped our journey from our earliest specialisations in F3A aircraft and YS engines to launching our own aircraft lines, exclusive UK partnerships and a global network of suppliers and partners. Each year tells the story of our commitment to excellence in the world of RC aerobatics.

1990s – Foundations & Early Growth

1993 – ProBuild Aircraft Ltd is founded after our founder, a British F3A competition pilot and renowned builder, suffers a serious back injury. Determined to stay active in the sport, he launches ProBuild, specialising in F3A and YS engines.

1994 – Partners with YS Yamada Engines, PL Prod Aircraft, and ZN Line Aircraft, setting the foundation for ProBuild’s commitment to performance and quality.

1995 – Expands product range to include JR Propo, MK, Hatori, Tettra Parts, and Central Hobbies, establishing ProBuild as a trusted name in high-end RC components.

1999 – Adds Wild Hare RC and Chip Hyde RC to the lineup, strengthening ProBuild’s reach into international aerobatics.

2000s – Expansion & Recognition

2000 – Forms partnerships with Desert Aircraft, Mejzlik Propellers, and MTW Exhausts, bringing top-tier engine and exhaust technology to the UK market.

2003 – Adds Aerotech RC and 3W Engines, further enhancing ProBuild’s reputation for supplying elite-level equipment.

2005 – Launches ProBuild’s own line of aircraft in collaboration with X-Tech, marking a major milestone in design and innovation.

2009 – Opens distribution accounts with major UK suppliers including JP, Logic RC, and Ripmax, expanding domestic reach and service capability.

2010s – Innovation, Partnership & Global Reach

2012 – Secures CML Distribution partnership for Savox products.

2015Andy is appointed Purchasing Manager; partnerships expand to include Extreme Flight RC, GP Engines, and Kuza MFG. ProBuild also visits Joe Nall Week, strengthening global ties in the RC community.

2017 – Adds PowerBox Systems and Falcon Propellers; renowned pilot Jase Dussia flies for ProBuild at Weston Park to promote Extreme Flight.

2018 – Becomes exclusive UK distributor for JR Propo, and adds AJ Aircraft and DLE Engines.

2019 – Welcomes new brands Sullivan, JX Servo, and Spanish XA pilot Angel Gomez joins the ProBuild team. Jase Dussia returns to fly again under the ProBuild banner.

2020s – Leadership, Innovation & Legacy

2021 – Expands with Skywing RC and PRO.PWR, continuing to serve advanced RC pilots across the UK.

2022 – Adds Scorpion Motors, Top RC Model, and launches Falcon Propellers UK, furthering domestic presence in performance components.

2023 – Introduces ChaServo and RCEXL, strengthening the precision electronics lineup. We launch our YouTube channel to great success.

2024 – Sponsors SXFC, welcomes Orel Zohar to fly for ProBuild, and adds Advanced Radio and Zeee Batteries to the range.

2025 – Partners with KingTech Turbines and represents Apex Aerotech in the UK, working alongside Jase Dussia once again.

2026 (TBA) – Incoming partnerships include ????? and ProSmoke — the innovation continues.
