Multiplex Evo Battery ManagementThe EVO has the ability to track the amount of incoming (when charging) amps and the remaining mAh of the transmitter battery. The EVO also presents an estimated operating residual time value to give the pilot an idea of the total remaining hours and minutes of charge in the transmitter battery. In addition, the EVO also offers a standard electronic voltmeter. ..
Multiplex Evo CablesThe EVO cable is the same physical cable as the "Cockpit Cable" as the "Profi Cable" as the "EVO Cable." MPX did not re-design the interface cable with the release of the EVO transmitter. The EVO Cables are not standard cables. There are some electronics that must be soldered on a small board ..
Multiplex - Hitec RelationshipMultiplex is not Hitec, it is not owned by Hitec. The person, Mr Chun Park, who owns Hitec also owns Multiplex and they are two totally separate companies. The Evo is not a Hitec radio, or a Mr Park radio. It was on sale in Europe before Mr Park bought Multiplex and of course it was being developed for years before then. Here in the UK I know people who have gone back to the model shop and traded in Futaba 9Cs and JRPCM10s for an Evo. You see very little Multiplex in the USA which is why your friends laugh at it because they..
Multiplex Basic Terminology TermsOne thing, though, that I would like to point out (especially after only recently having made the transition myself) is that the loose naming conventions used in our discussions can be very confusing to an established AR (Asian Radio) user. I would recommend taking Mike Shellim's approach to reduce some of the confusion: Widget(s): Sticks, switches, buttons, sliders, knobs Control(s) What the widget does. Initially, a widget doesn't do anyting - you have to tell the EVO what the widget will command. Channel(s) Servo..

Installing Fixing Bolts for an UnderbellyAt Probuild we have found that the most reliable way of fixing an underbelly to the fuz is by a very simple system that if installed correctly will not come loose due to vibration. The underbelly is fixed to the fuz by 5 cap head bolts, one in the nose, 2 over the wing and 2 at the end of the underbelly. The method used is very simple, using two sizes 1/4" OD and 3/16" OD of Polystyrene plastic tube one slid inside the ot..
Trimming ChartThese tests assume that the plane has been built perfectly aligned, wings square to fuz, stab in line with wings, vertical fin is exactly 90 Deg. to horizontal stab. Thrust, incidence, and balance (CG) are set according to the designer's recommendations. The wings are not warped as checked with an incidence meter, and the elevator halves are moving together as checked by a "Throw Meter". These flying tests should be done in near calm conditions. Double-check each of the following te..

Installing a Nose ring for a Hyde Engine MountThis Fact Sheet is primarily aimed at the newcomer to Building R/C Model Aircraft. Mark the Rough Shape of the Nose Ring Mount First, using the spinner mark the rough outline of the nose ring mount on the material you use. Use 1/8" Beach ply or end grain _" carbon balsa. Cut to fit. My part may seem a little overkill but it adds some strength to the nose area and provides a lot of glue surface. The area that accepts the nos..
Joining a One Piece WingThis Fact Sheet is primarily aimed at the newcomer to Building R/C Model Aircraft. This fact sheet applies to Wings manufactured at Probuild. However, the general principles remain the same no mater what aircraft you are building that utilises a one-piece wing. The following is a recommendation on how best to join such wings. Wing reinforcing should be adhered to as follows, it is imperative not to try and save weight on one small cent..
